Over the past year I have been using this wonderful tool to find and create domain names. Today I thought I would blog about it and show how it works.

What is it? and How does it work?

Bustaname.com is basically a tool used to find domain names that are still available for purchase. An example of this is: Your company name is Happy Joe’s Pancake House and your looking for a domain name that is best suited for your company.
Your search would look something like this:

as you can see it takes all the different words and tries the different combination’s of them, some will not make sense and that is probably why they are still available. If you do a three word search you will find that JoesPancakes.com is available and that would probably be the best fit. So you click Buy and you can either buy it on the site with a number of different registrars or use one that you like.

You also have a couple of more options you can do like prefix and suffix. An example of this would be something like: you want to have Joes as the beginning or house at the ending. You click more next to prefix and add the one you want. One thing I would suggest is to take the word out of the search because you will get more results that do not makes sense (joesjoes…) Another feature is adding different domain extentions, right now .com, .net, .org, .info, .biz some of the most commen extentions used.

The last tool that I love is the “Quick Domain Check”

This allows you to type in a domain name that you would like and it will show red on the ones that are taken, as you can see below on joespancakehouse.com but .net is available.

Other services on the site

There is a Hosting Search for the people that would like to find a host for there website, or to upgrade their current one.

Whois search which is quiet fast and also gives you some info on the domain like the host, alexa rank, and google page rank.

All and all I think bustaname.com is the best domain search I have found on the internet and I have used many. A bit of a warning though, if your into finding domains or collecting them, this site will be like an addiction.

Hope you enjoy!
